UX Design

While reporting to me, Nizan went from a principal design position to managing a  global UX team with designers in Israel, USA and Ireland, driving design for the data protection centric products. He transitioned to management while still delivering principal level designs for a core product. Nizan delivers designs in a very methodic and organized way, his project management, sense of detail and clarity of requirements are impeccable. While Nizan has many years of experience in enterprise cyber security, specifically around data loss protection, end point management and other data protection products, his UX approach can in my view be broadly applied to any product portfolio, platform or eco system.
I could always count on Nizan’s professionalism, ability to deliver, sometime with short turn around and drive his team and products towards delivery. I would happily function as a reference as well as give Nizan my highest recommendations for any senior UX position.

Nizan is an exceptionally talented and dedicated Designer and User Experience professional. He collaborates well with both local and remote engineering teams. Nizan serves effectively as a diplomatic team leader, and is welcomed and valued as a key contributor on every project. He enjoys researching new tools and new techniques, shares what he learns with others, and advocates diplomatically for end users. Nizan spends considerable time listening to and observing his end users; designs effective Usability Tests; and analyzes and publishes his user test results with care and accuracy.
 It was always a pleasure to work with Nizan on complex, challenging projects, especially because he accepted every design challenge with enthusiasm as well as great creativity and talent.

I worked with Nizan as a colleague and eventually reported to him. He is a talented designer that envisioned & created strategic solutions to address customer needs. He creatively leveraged common UX patterns to improve task flows and ensure a consistent interaction model across the platform. He drove many forward thinking projects in cyber security, especially around data protection and platform management. He collaborates well with multi-disciplinary teams to bring his designs to fruition. He is detailed oriented, ensuring that minor details and micro interactions are not overlooked. And he is an advocate for and talented practitioner of usability testing. All of his designs are enhanced by his artistic nature as an accomplished photographer and illustrator. Nizan is a compassionate and diplomatic manager, balancing team needs and management directives. I always valued his design feedback and his logistical support. Nizan would be a talented addition at a senior and management level.

Nizan is one of the most dedicated professionals I’ve worked with. I had the pleasure of working with him on several projects, all of which he led by example. He always kept the team motivated, shared knowledge and goes the extra mile to make sure his team are successful. It was a pleasure to be managed by him.

I am fortunate to work with Nizan over the past 2.5 years at Forcepoint and enjoy his vast knowledge of product design and user experience. Even after 12 years in the field of Data Protection I found myself learning new aspects and ways of thinking about how to serve the data to the users in a way that will be simple and insightful which is the essence of a great UX. Nizan and I collaborated for over 10 years, starting in a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) start-up (PortAuthority), that was later acquired by Websense (now Forcepoint). Over the years, Nizan did a great job transforming the highly complex (and, at start, highly convoluted) user interface into a clear, coherent and user-friendly interface. Nizan highly effective efforts were instrumental for maintaining a leader position for Websense DLP and for the high level of adoption and growth. Nizan also maintained a pleasant atmosphere and good personal relationship with the relevant stake-holders. It was both fun and pleasure to work with Nizan, and I’m sure that he will succeed in any UX job he will take.
